My name is Jared Brunner and I currently reside in southern California.
After graduating from BYU with a BFA in Animation I began working as a 3D artist. I started at Sony Online Entertainment in Austin Texas where I was a character rigger/wrangler for DC Universe Online. I also built some environment props, UI mini maps, a lot of character gear bug fixing and anything that could help with general performance and frame rate. Later I joined Certain Affinity as a contract Jr. Technical Artist. There I was able to help develop the early stages of some Halo 4 multiplayer maps. It was my job to build, animate and implement game play prototypes for in game testing. After Certain Affinity I joined the Bluepoint Games team as a 3D Artist (Generalist) where I got to work on Playstation All-Stars: Battle Royale (Vita). My main job was to implement and troubleshoot all characters so that the quality & performance of the Vita version was up to par with the Playstation. At Bytesized Studios it was my job to assist the Art Lead by building environment props, vehicles and buildings for multiple unannounced mobile titles. At Disney Interactive I had the opportunity to work on Disney Infinity 2.0 as a VFX Artist. It was my job to create, implement and trouble shoot FX for various toybox items as well as in game cinematics. At 343 Industries I had the opportunity to work on Halo 5: Guardians as a 3D Asset Wrangler (generalist). My duties included texture work on multiple character armor sets and setup of the multiplayer vehicle damage state FX. I recently graduated with a Technical Art Masters Degree from the University of Utah in the Entertainment Arts & Engineering program. I currently work in the automotive industry as a Sr. Technical Designer UI/UX at Lordstown Motors. With each of my jobs I have grown in experience and skill and have loved working with the many talented people at each studio.
I strive to be a well rounded person in all aspects of my life. I love spending time with my wife and 4 children. I love cooking, photography and reading good books, playing basketball, roller hockey, volleyball, baseball, camping, fishing and playing my guitar. I also love hanging out at home watching movies with my wife and am always in the mood for a good laugh.
